Thanks to All for a Great Season!
June 20, 2011 by Gloria Nussbaum ·
Thanks to everyone for a fun, successful and even historic season! Thanks to the players for their hard work, determination and team spirit; the coaches for their encouragement and expertise and the parents who contributed everything from finances to desserts to photography and a great cheering squad. Congratulations!
For anyone interested in more water polo over the summer, there are a number of water polo camps in the Northeast, as well as California and other locales. More local camps include the Naval Academy, Princeton, Brown , Harvard, Bucknell and Maryland. A good source of information is the waterpoloplanet.com website. The Greenwich YMCA also runs a year round water polo program.
Have a great summer!!

Water Polo “Banquet”/End of Year Party — Format
June 7, 2011 by Gloria Nussbaum ·
A number of parents have asked about the banquet, especially those new to the team. Per the tradition of this team, the banquet is very informal, like an expanded pasta dinner where players and coaches attend. Therefore we have not planned or budgeted for dinner for the extended families, however parents are welcome to drop in and socialize at any time.
Thanks to all for the dessert contributions!!

End of Year Fundraisng
June 3, 2011 by Gloria Nussbaum ·
As our season wraps up this spring, we need to ask for a financial contribution to cover our end of year expenses. These include the Banquet/BBQ, Coaches’ gifts, Senior Day and also a remaining portion of coaching salaries. The suggested amount is $50 per player. This is a voluntary contribution and any amount is welcome.
Please send any contributions c/o Gloria Nussbaum, 29 Dogwood Lane and make out any checks to “Staples Girls Water Polo.”
Thanks very much for all your support now and throughout this season.
Banquet/BBQ/Pool Party Change of Date!!! Wednesday, June 8
June 2, 2011 by Gloria Nussbaum ·
The Banquet date is being moved from Tuesday, June 7th to Wednesday, June 8th. This is due to a conflict with the Picnic Pops Concert on June 7th which impacts a large number of our players.
The Banquet is at the Nussbaum’s house, 29 Dogwood Lane, off of South Compo Road. It will begin at 5 pm to 8 pm. Please bring your suits and your appetite. Food will be served from the Super Duper Weenie catering truck.
However, we are still looking for dessert contributions of any and all baked goods. Please email Gloria Nussbaum at Glorianuss@optonline.net if you can bring a dessert.
Thanks!
